Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters

Episode 149: The Nightmare of Toon World

The Yugis are unsettled by how Pegasus was in the video letter. The crew is taken to another location by limo.

Meanwhile, Kaiba arrives in the Duelist Kingdom -- but it appears that no one is there.

Back at the airport, a suitcase containing Haga and Ryuzaki are loaded into a truck.

Kaiba arrives in Pegasus' duel area, where Pegasus shows himself. Kaiba wants to know what exactly is going on. If he wins in a duel, Pegasus will tell everything. Kaiba accepts and the duel begins.

Haga and Ryuzaki fall out of the truck into the most unpleasant area of town.

Pegasus plays, but as he does, he seems to be using the same tactics that he did during the Duelist Kingdom. Even with a few extra tricks (including the Toon Black Magician Girl), Kaiba realizes something...

...Pegasus wouldn't fall for the tactics that Kaiba was using. In other words, it's not Pegasus.

The imposter reveals himself to be one of the warriors from Doma, Amelda. Emelda spouts lines of revenge, and begins the duel anew -- starting with playing The Bindings of Oreichalcos.
Episode 150: Awaken! Critias

Everything from "Pegasus" to Kaiba was just to lure Kaiba to the Duelist Kingdom.

Amelda's tactics change from Toons, concentrating on a Monster called the Balrog, which can gain control of Monsters it destroys.

Amelda states the reason for his rage against Kaiba: the Kaiba Corporation was responsible for his younger brother's death. Amelda's country was engulfed in rebellion and strife, and the Kaiba Corporation supplied his countrymen with tanks, which turned out to be their undoing, when Amelda's younger brother Mirco was killed in an assault. The only thing left was the charred remains of a toy robot. Apparently, Gozaborou Kaiba had been helping out the other side. Darts, the leader of Doma, contacts him and fosters his anger toward the Kaiba Corporation.

Regardless of how much Mokuba and Kaiba state that the Kaiba Corporation has changed under Kaiba, Amelda can't understand. The game continues.

Just as it looks completely bad, as Kaiba draws his card for the turn, he is transported to the Duel Monsters world, where he sees statues of two dragons encased in ice. He pulls a sword out of its neck, and the dragon is freed -- Critias. In the limo, Yugi notices that his Timaeus card shines for a moment.

Taken back to the duel, Kaiba draws and sees that the card he was drawn is the Fang of Critias. Though he doesn't not know how the card got in his deck, and has never seen the card before, he knows its effect.

He combines the Fang of Critias with his set Deck Destruction Virus of Death to bring forth the Death Virus Dragon, which destroys all other Monsters on the Field with attack strength of 1500 or more.

Kaiba tries to end the duel in an attack with the Dragon, but Amelda uses Contagious Insanity to end the game in a draw, nullifying the effect of the Bindings. Amelda makes his escape.

Yugi and company stop at what seems to be an abandoned gas station. The driver gets out of the car, and continues to walk blankly.
Episode 151: An Unexpected Enemy

While they check around for the missing driver, they hear the sounds of motorcycles coming toward the station. And they don't have the best of intentions, especially when they brandish pipes, with Varon and Rafael looking on. The crew tries to escape, but are encircled. One of them tries to attack, but a card embeds itself in his hand, and is knocked over. A mysterious motorcycle rider flings two more cards to take out more of the gang members. As the crew takes his moment to run, Jounouchi sees that one of the cards was a Harpy Lady. The mysterious driver grabs it from him. Jounouchi glimpses Mai's face through the visor of its helmet. The group gets in the limo, and continues on.

At the Duelist Kingdom, Kaiba and Mokuba contemplate Amelda. Kaiba is more concerned about the vision he saw, and the dragon Critias. Their next stop is the Industrial Illusions company.

The group's car shuts down, so they catch a ride in a check.

Haga and Ryuzaki are wandering around, when they run into Otogi. He gives them a ride to the Industrial Illusions company.

Yugi, Anzu, Jounouchi and Honda finally arrives at the company, but no one is there, and the phones are dead. The security gates suddenly descend, barring the exits.

From a balcony, the mysterious rider jumps down on its motorcycle. It is, indeed, Mai. Jounouchi thinks she doesn't know what's going on, and if she's seen Pegasus. She brandishes the Bindings card that has Pegasus' soul in it.

Varon and Rafael make their entrance from the same balcony, as onwatchers. She's ready to take both the souls of Jounouchi and the nameless Pharaoh. The only way to get out is to beat her. Jounouchi's first, and she instantly plays The Bindings of Oreichalcos before Jounouchi has even set up.

Jounouchi doesn't want to fight her in this way.
Episode 152: Mai, Fallen Into Darkness

No matter what he says, he can't get around fighting. He accepts the duel and starts.

As the duel continues, Jounouchi tries to snap Mai out of whatever spell she's in. It's then they she reveals that she is completely lucid, and is doing this of her own free will. And what happened to make her become one of Doma is brought to light.

After Battle City, she tried to achieve the same kind of glory that Yugi and Jounouchi achieved during Battle City.

But no matter how many tournaments she won, no matter how many battles she fought, no matter where it was in the world, she was still in the shadow of Yugi and Jounouchi. Still traumatized from the duel with Malik, she sought to become stronger and stronger so that she would never lose again, but could never escape what happened.

Then, she met Varon. After suffering a defeat at his hands, he offers to take her into Doma. Doma, thus Darts, gave her the power to continue.

Jounouchi is ready to give up, but Yugi tells him to keep playing.
Episode 153: Be Called Forth! The Third Dragon

The duel continues, with Jounouchi trying to hit back as hard as he can.

Otogi, Ryuzaki and Haga arrive at Industrial Illusions, to see Jounouchi and Mai dueling. Honda and Anzu tell Otogi to find some way to open the gates.

Jounouchi survives several close calls purely by the skin of his teeth.

As the end draws near for him, he draws his card. Yugi's Timaeus and (in his jet) Kaiba's Critias begin to glow. Jounouchi is transported to the Duel Monsters world, along with Yugi. Jounouchi sees the third and final dragon there, and pulls the sword from its body. Jounouchi knows its name -- Helmos.

Back in the real world, Jounouchi draws...

...Helmos.
Episode 154: The Miracle of Helmos

Jounouchi revives a Giga Cyber he used earlier in the duel, and combines Helmos with the Time Magician to create the Time Magic Jammer.

Everyone is completely shocked at the pathetic-looking result, but he Equips it on Giga Cyber anyway.

He attacks, and triggers the Time Magic hammer...

...and has no effect, but bubbles that hit Mai's Monsters.

When Mai starts her next turn, all of Mai's Monsters are removed from the game. While they figure out what happens, Jounouchi tries to keep up the heat on Mai. They find out that with the bubbles that hit Mai's Monsters, numbers appeared as well. Each turn, her Monsters that were removed from the game return, based on the number.

Just as Mai is about to lose, Varon jumps down and uses a Doma ring to break through the Bindings, and end the duel. They make a teleport retreat, but not before Rafael swears to take the nameless Pharaoh's soul. Otogi finally lifts the gates.

At the same time, Kaiba arrives in his jet. All of them put their pieces of the story together, and come up with a bigger mystery.

In Pegasus' office, Yugi opens a door with the Key of Illusions card, arriving in a room with a variety of Toons. Suddenly, an illusion of Pegasus appears, telling them a story.

Pegasus' company was also being taken over by an unknown company, called Doma, which seems to have been activate all throughout history. They appear to have a dark purpose in mind, so Pegasus asks him to save the world, and stop them. He makes a card specifically for Yugi, which has no picture and no name: an nameless card.

Kaiba, Yugi and Jounouchi decide to team up to take Doma down.
