Each graphic novel takes nine weeks worth of Yugioh, and puts them in a single volume. This is a very highly probable guess on what will be included in the next volume. BATTLE 260: Red Soul! Kaiba now has three Blue Eyes in play. The situation is grim, and Kaiba attacks with all three Blue Eyes. And just as Yugi is about to give up, he heads Jounouchi say "Don't lose, Yugi!" Then continues with, "Didn't you tell me that there is always a possibility hidden in your hand?" Yugi understands, and just as the Blue Eyes are about to attack, Red Eyes Black Dragon appears on Yugi's Field. Kaiba is incredulous to it, but Yugi states that when Kaiba used the Horn, Yugi was also allowed to put a Dragon into play. It doesn't really matter to Kaiba, as he continues his attack. The first attack targets the Black Magician. Yugi activates the Magic Cylinder, sending the attack at the Lord of Dragons, destroying him. The other two Blue Eyes attack. The next goes after Red Eyes. Yugi activates Hexagram curse, preventing the attack, and dropping Blue Eyes' attack strength to 2300. Red Eyes counter attacks and destroys the Blue Eyes (K's LP: 1900) And with that assault, Jounouchi finally wakes up. BATTLE 261: Hatred Toward The Past! Kaiba places two cards and ends his turn. Yugi goes and does the same. He puts his Red Eyes into defense mode, then Kaiba activates a Trap card, changing all of Yugi's Monsters to attack mode. FULL ASSAULT ORDER Permanent Trap While this card is on the Field, all Monsters change to attack mode. Each player chooses 3 cards in his or her deck, and puts the rest in his or her Cemetery. This card leaves both Yugi and Kaiba with only three cards left in their decks. Of course, Kaiba's aim is to summon the Ultimate Dragon. Meanwhile, Jounouchi is up and about in the medical ward. He and the crew make their way to the top of the tower to watch the battle unfold. Kaiba starts his turn. He draws and plays Raise Dead to summon his Blue Eyes back into play. He then follows up with Fusion to turn the three Blue Eyes into Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon. Kaiba babbles on about how the tablets have no representation of their conflict. His future will not be controlled by the past, such as by his foster father. And Yugi says that feelings such as that will not be able to defeat him. And he'll show him. Yugi activates one of his placed cards. DOUBLE MAGIC Magic You may use all of the Magic cards that your opponent has used during this turn. He uses Raise Dead to bring his Buster Blader into play from the Cemetery, then follows up with Fusion. He fuses the Black Magician and Buster Blader into the ultimate magical swordsman, the Black Paladin. BATTLE 262: Become An Ally! The Black Paladin's attack strength is 2900. However, it retains the Buster Blader's effect. Since there are two Dragons on the Field, the Paladin gains 500 attack strength for each, boosting him up to 3900. Kaiba draws, and places a card. He attacks with the Ultimate Dragon. Yugi activates the Tome of Secrets, but Kaiba counters with Magic Absorption. MAGIC ABSORPTION Trap Activate when your opponent increases his or her Monster's attack strength by a Magic effect. Give that increase to 1 of your Monsters. The Ultimate Dragon's attack strength increases to 5000. Yugi then activates Fusion Reversal, turning the Ultimate Dragon into three Blue Eyes. Since there are now four Dragons on the Field, the Paladin's attack strength is bumped up to 4900. Yugi follows up with activating a Magic card from his hand. DIFFUSION WAVE Magic A Magician can attack all of your opponent's Monsters on the Field at once. Pay 1000 Life Points. The Black Paladin is imbued with the power, and slices all three Blue Eyes into pieces. (K's LP: 0). BATTLE 263: The Beast Of Defeat Kaiba laments his loss. All of his plans, his perfect tactics, one of the most powerful cards in the game, and he still lost. [EDO'S NOTE: Serves the dumbass bastard right.] Yugi tells him that he actually lost to the beast called "Hatred." And that he would have lost if he didn't have the Red Eyes card. Kaiba is still incredulous to the "power of friendship" speech that Yugi constantly gives. But to end it, Kaiba tosses Yugi a card as per the ante rule - The God of Obelisk. Both Yugis are overjoyed to see Jounouchi up and about. And Malik's powers of darkness seem to be overwhelming as he proclaims: "Let the carnival of darkness begin!" Kaiba is getting ready to leave the Tower. The tower will sink into the sea in two hours. Isis follows him, telling him that Yugi will need his help in order to win. She explains that the tablet in the museum was not a symbol of confrontation or rivalry - words to the a friend, to the lost Pharaoh. BATTLE 264: The Given Card! Kaiba still has no interest in Isis' speeches about their past lives. He only cares about getting out of there. Mokuba is more concerned about his brother. He asks Kaiba to make a promise that when the Duel Tower disappears into the sea, so will all of his hatred. At the top of the tower, the preparations begin. Jounouchi begs Yugi to defeat Malik in order to save Mai. Kaiba and Isis continue their conversation. Isis asks Kaiba if he thinks Yugi will lose. Kaiba affirms it, stating that Yugi has only a three percent chance of defeating Ra and its One Turn Kill ability. However, the card that Kaiba has, called the Devil's Sactuary, will increase his chances of winning to twenty-four percent. As the conversation progresses, Kaiba realizes that Isis is prepared to disappear into the sea with her brother, should Yugi fail, along with Alcatraz. Kaiba makes his way up the elevator to the duel stage. And he tosses Yugi the Devil's Sanctuary card. BATTLE 265: The Climactic Battle! Yugi takes the card and snaps it into his deck. Malik and Yugi shuffle each other's decks and the Game of Darkness begins. However, this game of Darkness is different as the soul of the "other" version of themselves will also be destroyed if that player loses. They are "chained" above the Field. Malik summons a Quick Leech on his first turn and attacks. QUICK LEECH 4/500/1200 At the end of a turn in which this Monster attacks your opponent, you may discard 1 card from your hand to change it to defense mode. (Y's LP: 3500). It's then that a portion of the normal Yugi's body disappears BATTLE 266: The Swift Trap! Malik's turn isn't over yet, so he discards a card from his hand to put the Leech into defense mode. He discards Ra, naturally. He then places a card and ends his turn. Yugi summons the Queens Knight (4/1500/1600), attacks and destroys the Leech. He then places two cards, and ends his turn. Malik plays Juragedo (4/1700/1300), attacks and destroys the Queens Knight (Y's LP: 3300). He then plays a Magic card. GIVE YOUR LEFT HAND Magic Discard your hand. Put 1 Magic card from your deck into your hand. Malik grabs Raise Dead from his deck. Yugi then activates Exchange to take it. On his turn, Yugi summons the Kings Knight, uses Raise Dead on the Queens Knight, and immediately gets to play the Jacks Knight from his deck. BATTLE 267: Confrontation! Osiris vs. Ra! Yugi ends his turn without attacking. Malik draws and plays "Coins From Heaven." Yugi, of course, draws Osiris. Malik puts his Monster in defense mode, places a card, and ends his turn. Yugi sacrifices his three Monsters to summon Osiris (6000/6000). Yugi attacks with Osiris, but Malik activates a Trap card: DARK REVIVAL Trap Activate when 1 of your opponent's Monsters attacks. Use 1 Magic card in your opponent's Cemetery. At the end of the turn, that card goes to your opponent's Cemetery. He uses Raise Dead to bring Ra into play, and through chanting, turns it into its invincible phoenix form. Osiris' attack collides harmlessly with it. BATTLE 268: The Undying God! Malik has just brought Ra into play from the Cemetery by using Raise Dead. Jounouchi reflects on how the Phoenix did him in last time. It wasn't the destruction of the Monster that was the problem - it was the effect of the Game of Darkness that let the player feel the pain of the Monster that was destroyed. Since Ra has come into play, Osiris gets to shoot it with its Summon Lightning Impact. But has absolutely no effect on Ra. Malik pays his 1000 Life Points to use the God Phoenix ability, and destroy Osiris. Though the effect of the assault on both Yugis was intense, they both overcome it. Since it's still Yugi's turn, Malik remarks that the Raise Dead he used goes to his opponent's Cemetery. At that time, he uses a Trap card. ZOMBIE JEWEL Trap Activate when a card goes to your opponent's Cemetery. Put that card into your hand. Your opponent draws 1 card. Once again, Raise Dead goes back into Malik's hand. Which means Malik's turn is next, and is ready to use the One Turn Kill attack. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Fin.
