VB6-003 SIXTH SENSE Normal Trap State two numbers, from 1 to 6. Your opponent rolls one six-sided die, and if the roll is either of the stated numbers, draw that many cards. This time, we're looking at an often hyped-up card that many people have been overlooking lately. It is one of the promo cards that you get from the somewhat recent release of Valuable Book 6 in Japan.
Soooooooo, how do this card work? Simple. (1) When this card is resolved, you choose two numbers, which we will call [a] and [b]. (2) Your opponent rolls one six-sided die. (3.1) If the result of that die roll matches [a] or [b], you draw that number of cards. (3.2) If it doesn't, you put a number of cards from the top of your deck into your Cemetery equal to the roll of the die.
This card gets a lot of people wound up. Why? Well, here's the hint: DON'T choose numbers other than 5 and 6. If you have fewer cards than that in your deck, DON'T activate this card. With my "higher" math skills, this card gives you a one-in-three chance of drawing at least 5 cards. And by choosing those two numbers, you also minimize the possible drawback to using this card.
So, what happens when you draw at least five cards for the use of one card? The game usually ends. This is the main reason why people want this card restricted to one per deck QUICKLY. Yes, your deck can be destroyed by a lack of luck on your part. At the time that this Card of the Week is written, Six Sense has not yet been restricted at all. From my perspective, there IS a definite drawback, so I see it being restricted to two per deck. But I've been wrong before, and will probably go down to one per deck.
Edo's Rating: 3 out of 5. For those lucky players, this card is probably a little higher on the scale. However, this is being written by a guy who usually rolls less than 6 when an opponent rolls 6 for the effect of a Dice Pot. Randomized cards really aren't my thing; I've used this card in a few of my decks, and it usually turned out to be disastrous on my part. Don't let that fool you, however; as they say, "your mileage may vary." I fully admit the sheer power of the card, so it's up to you whether or not you wish to brave the drawback to do so.
