Here is another popular card that is in a number of Japanese decks. It took a hit a while ago, as it was restricted to one per deck.

Fiber Pod, or "The Tree" as we called it in Hawai'i, resembles a Magic: The Gathering card called "Time Twister," which did a similar effect.

Fiber Pod is the ultimate reset button. Basically, what you are doing is getting back everything but Life Points and cards removed from the game. Once of the big questions is: "Does the Pod shuffle itself back into the deck?" The answer is: yes. Whether it's Reverse Summoned, or is Reversed due to an attack, it will get shuffled back in for more chaotic goodness. However, like all Reverse Effect Monsters, if it's destroyed while face-down due to a card effect, its effect WON'T go off.

While Fiber Pod was used in wide numbers in Japanese decks, it dropped off since (1) the excitement of new sets wears off fairly quickly, and (2) it's exact usefulness doesn't shine in many decks.

The best use of the Pod is to Reverse Summon it. This will clear the Field, refresh your hand, and give you the opportunity to attack your opponent directly, provided that you get a Monster or two on the Field... The second best use is just a stall tactic; it will stop your opponent from attacking for the rest of the turn, since he or she will have to go into Main Phase 2 to do any more summons, and can't attack again during that turn.

The two best decks for Fiber Pod are Exodia and Ouija Board. These two need key cards to keep running, and getting them back for another round is crucial.

Edo's Rating: 3 out of 5. Fiber Pod gives the average deck a shot of caffeine by recycling all of those good cards. However, specialized decks are better able to make use of its powers of restarting the game.
